I have to admit it, I have a real thing for books. I couldn’t resist this beautiful book when I saw it on the shelf in Waterstones. It actually made a perfect present for my nephew, but now I find myself wanting a copy to add to my very own children’s book collection. Let’s take a closer look..
Tree, Seasons Come, Seasons Go is a book by Britta Teekentrup, from the Little Tiger.
We do love Little Tiger Press publishing company.- they really do seem to have a beautiful collection of books in their range. This book is suitable for 3-5 years, but I think you could read it to much younger children, as the pages are so attractive.
“Explore the beauty of the changing seasons in this timeless peek-through book with beautiful artwork from Britta Teckentrup and accompanying rhyming text. Following the life-cycle of a tree through spring, summer, autumn and winter, children will easily learn to recognise the signs of the seasons with this simple yet striking picture book”.
For me, it’s so nice to see something a little bit different within a book. The delicate illustrations and cut out pages are really enticing. I’m sure children will love turning the pages to follow the owl through the changing seasons. There are also lots of other animals to spot, which will definitely attract children’s attention. I always enjoy asking children to “spot the fox” or whatever other creatures..
I really enjoyed reading this book and it just felt like one of those lovely heart warming stories. I bought the board book version, which I love but it’s also available in paperback & hardback too.
What books have you and your little ones been reading lately?
Please note, we’ve very kindly been sent books from Little Tiger previously, but this one was not gifted, or this review endorsed by them in anyway. We simply love their books.
