Out & About | October Half Term 2018

In the blink of an eye it’s October.. (I’m pretty sure we only just started school, didn’t we)!? And so the countdown to Half Term is on. I have to say we do like October Half Term in particular, because there’s always so much to – Autumn Crafts, Pumpkin picking & Halloween parties to name a few. 

Today however we’ve got our round up of activities you’ll find in and around London during Half Term to help keep your little ones occupied. 

Pumpkin Picking:

Halloween Activities:

  • The Horniman Halloween Fair at the Horniman Museum, from Sat 27th Oct 2018 – Sun 28th Oct 2018. Find out more here.
  • Family Friendly Ghost Tours at Hampton Court Palace, from Wed 31st Oct 2018 – Sun 6th Jan 2019. Find out more here.
  • Boogie Monsters Family Acoustic Halloween Party @ Boxpark Croydon! Sun 28 October 2018 at 10:30 – 11:45. More info here.
  • Pumpkin Carving Competition at Mudchute Farm – Saturday 28th October. Pumpkin Carve-off is back! This year with a prize for the spookiest costumed carver and professional face painting! Join in on the carving bonanza any time between 12pm-3pm, remember to bring your pumpkin and carving kit, or buy a pumpkin and simple carving kit on the day. Winners announced at 3:15pm, on the main courtyard, it is a FREE community event!

    Giant LEGO Brick Animal Trail at the Barnes Wetlands Centre.

    From Sat 6 October – Sun 18 November, The amazing Giant LEGO® brick animals are back with three NEW friends – Sam the short-eared owl, Walter the water vole and Skye the stork. This autumn, come along to meet the new animals and book a place on one of our LEGO workshops – you’ll get to build your own miniature version of Sam the short-eared owl to take home!

    The Little Foxes Club Multi Sports Holiday Camps

    Holiday clubs and classes at various venues across London, including Ravenscourt Park, South Park – Parsons Green and Battersea Park. Find out more here.

    Spooky Art Workshops by Paperbirds Art Club

    Also at various locations across London, over the Halloween weekend. Paperbirds Art Club runs spooky themed art workshops for children in the Fulham area. Find out more here.

    (Join Little & Big Nutbrown Hare, from the bestselling Guess How Much I Love You and I Love You All Year Round collection, as they leap off the page and onto the stage in this magical journey through the seasons).
