Today we’ve got a slightly different post for you.. we’ll be back to normal next week, but today we just wanted to share some news with you.
Next weekend, I (Sarah) will be running my first ever Half Marathon. This will be the furthest I’ve ever run.. in.. my.. life.
I am running Oxford Half Marathon, with my lovely friend and fellow Norland Nanny Lizzie, to raise money for a little boy based in Putney. His name is Mikaere.
Mikaere is a beautiful toddler, who has Nonketotic Hyperglycinemia. NKH is a rare, terminal metabolic disorder. Treatment options are limited, and every day is precious.
The money we raise is going to Joesph’s Goal which is the NKH charity which #TeamMikaere have partnered with to raise funds for the NKH Research done by Dr Nick Greene as part of UCL. He’s currently the world leader in NKH research, and we’re determined to give the research team the best shot at finding a cure for NKH.
If you could take a look at our JustGiving page (here), I’d be so appreciative of any extra sponsorship from any of our lovely readers out there.
Thank you so much.
