Father’s Day is just over a week away here in the UK, it’s on Sunday 17th June. So today we’re taking a look at some idea’s for Father’s Day.
We found this article from the Guardian which gives some ideas for activities to do with your Dad this Father’s Day and it got me thinking.. Most Dad’s would probably love to spend more time with their children and what better reason than Father’s Day. Giving an experience, or opportunity for your children to spend quality time with their Dad will make a great present. How about going to watch a football match together, if you have keen football fans? Or a bike ride as a family? Or a nice long walk?
We love this idea of a jar of “Building Memories with Dad” – it’s a simple one to make – just write activities onto lego/juplo bricks and place them in a jar. Of course you could simply write the ideas onto pieces of card. It’s a lovely opportunity for children to really express what activities they’d like to do with their Dad. Some examples are: bowling, bike riding, building something together, a boys trip, going fishing, daddy and daughter day, swimming, baking together, cinema trip, crazy golf, playing tennis… What other examples can you and your little ones think of ?
