The lovely Isla & Wilbur have been really engaging on Twitter and Instagram – sharing our tweets and blogposts for rather a while now, so we thought it was only fair to get in touch with them and get more information so we could feature them on pocketnannies. We’re so glad we did, because their beautiful products are definitely worth sharing.
Isla & Wilbur has been created by husband and wife team, Hamish & Emma Dalrymple. Parents to their daughter, Isla, and uncle and aunt to Wilbur. They went to visit Wilbur in America when he was a few months old, whilst they were there, they eyed up Wilbur’s stylish nursery and realised there was a gap in the UK market.
Hamish & Emma then drew upon their own innocent childhood memories and upbringing – Hamish grew up on a farm in the Scotland and Emma also on a farm in the Cotswolds – and the idea of Isla & Wilbur was born. They wanted to reflect this in their own children’s bedrooms by using hand-drawn characters combined with colours that complement contemporary interior design. They now bring to you Isla the lamb and Wilbur the highland calf.
Isla and Wilbur offer gifts, bamboo swaddles, organic children’s bedding, hooded towels and dressing gowns as well as fabric and furniture. Today, however we are focusing on their new range of pyjamas..
‘Isla and Wilbur’s range of super soft bamboo swaddles, organic cotton bedding, personalised towels and dressing gowns will help to make preparing for and parenting a baby or toddler a more delightful and comforting experience. Using high quality materials and design to create a warm and colourful nursing and sleeping environment for your children’.
Another example of their beautiful products are these Bamboo swaddles from £18.
‘A beautifully soft muslin swaddle made from 100% bamboo rayon fibre. Bamboo has a wonderfully soft feel against the skin and is a breathable material making it perfect for swaddling your newborn baby. The swaddle is a modern interpretation of the babies shawl and a great alternative to a blanket’.
We love the hand-drawn designs of Isla and Wilbur and think they are the perfect present for mother/baby, and for older children – those pjs look so cosy, just perfect for the darker evenings. At the time of writing this their Dressing gowns were out of stock, but check back soon.
