Take a look at the selection of activities around the Oxfordshire area through to the Cotswold over the festive period.

Christmas at Blenheim Palace – a classic activity in the area bringing in visitors in from far and wide to see the beautiful house and gardens lit up for the feastive season. One not to be missed and fun for all the family, needs to be pre-booked. Blenheim Palace is lit up until 1st January 2018. Find out more here.


Big Batsford Elf Hunt, Batsford Arboretum – help find Santa’s cheeky little elves who are hiding all around the arboretum. Get a prize at the end for finding those mischievous helpers, whilst wandering around a beautiful open space with a lovely cafe and shop to browse around too. Christmas Decoration making at Oxford Botanic Gardens –  with natural materials that you have found around the gardens. Help decorate their tree with your decorations and take some home too, 9th December from 11-1pm. For more info, click here.


Christmas Storyboard Painting – Ashmolean museum. Drop into the museum for fun, games and crafts in this beautiful museum. All ages welcome, a free event (£1 suggested donation), 9th December 2-2.45 and 3.15-4, click here to see more.

Chipping Norton Christmas fair – Friday 8th December, 4-9pm. Come along for family fun and a wide selection of wonderful Christmas gift and food/drink stalls. A night when the whole town comes alive, and don’t forgot to come and find the pocketnannies stall too to tempt you with some Christmas gifts.


Jingle’s magic sleigh at the Story museum, Oxford. Book tickets for Sunday 10th December with shows at 11am and 2pm to watch this wonderfully festive story whe Father Christmas needs cheering up!…who knew!?

Fairy Lights at Fairytale Farm, Chipping Norton. Check out these festive illuminations around the farm…”The Farm will be open all day as normal, but when daylight fades the entire Enchanted Walk will become a magical wonderland of fairy lights, which will delight children and adults.” Saturdays and Sundays until 17th December and every day 20-24 December, click here to find out more.
