It all started when I saw a tweet asking for suggestions for good looking nappy bags. We got talking at pocketnannies HQ and today we’ve compiled a list of some of our favourite options for nappy bags. Some which we’ve personally tried and tested and some which have recommended to us.
When you have a baby you suddenly have the need to carry around SO much stuff – it’s suddenly really difficult to leave the house light handed! So what are you looking for in a nappy bag? Presumably something that looks good, has lots of pockets and a bag that you could grab and run to the shops with? It needs to be a bag that both parents can easily use and feel comfortable with, so bare in mind themed patterns or florals for example. We’ve noticed nappy bags are definitely becoming more of a fashion statement too and people are choosing bags for their aesthetic looks as well as their practical uses.
Mamas & Papa’s Bella Baby Changing Bag – the Dad friendly Backpack
This Mamas and Papas bag is the perfect changing bag that Dad can feel comfortable carrying too – the great thing about it is that it doesn’t really look like a changing bag and could be used for years to come. Find it here.
Storksak Mini Changing Bag – the simple, classic option.
We think this Storksak is the perfect option for any new parents who just want a simple, yet effective changing bag that doesn’t have a ridiculous price tag. A great addition to your baby list that all carers can use.
Little Unicorn – for the practical backpack
We love the look of this classic Marindale Backpack in Grey. Little Unicorn is based in California but does ship to the UK. You can find a wider range of ‘diaper bags’ here. A great option for Dads too.
Josefina – Black Medium
One of us pocketnannies bought this as an average bag – it’s perfect size – even in the medium. You can fit enough stuff for a night away in it, (if you’re a light packer) – one of the greatest qualities of a nappy bag! If you think you’ll need more space you could opt for the Original Josefina. You can find Josefina bags here.
Kiki Lou – an American brand
These bags come in beautiful colours, with perfect sections for all your baby essentials! This style also doubles as a back pack or shoulder bag with two strap options. They do come from the USA but will also ship to the UK. Find them here.
Did you know Kate Spade does Baby bags ? Find this one here. With plenty of pockets and different strap variations this slouchy styled nappy bag could be your perfect purchase.
We have used these Longchamp bags many times as nappy bags and they also work well as travel bags too. Without any pockets inside we have used our own nappy holders or Ziplock bags for medical kits for example but it certainly isn’t a draw back with this style. Big and spacious but soft enough to be able to be bundled under a buggy if need be. Plain enough for males and females to use comfortably too. Find them here.
Happy bag shopping!
