Specific Dates (2016)

22nd May/12th June/3rd July. The Helicopter Museum, Weston-Super-Mare

These days (and more) are open cockpit days where you have a chance to really explore selected helicopters. Can imagine that could make a few little people weak at the knees!

5th June. Ferry Medows, Peterborough

East Anglican emergency service open day.

Emergency service vehicles are on show all day from 11am and the helicoptor flight is planned for between 11-1.30.

2nd/3rd July. Day Out With Thomas, Quainton, Buckinghamshire

This one doesn’t take much explanation! Meet The Fat Controller, unlimited train rides, and Thomas themed activities!

16th July. Shuttleworth, Bedfordshire

For the young farming (and aircraft) enthusiasts out there, Shuttleworth are holding an old agriculturial vehicle day to join the normal aircrafts.

Summer 2016. Stag Theatre, Knole, Sevenoaks

Sevenoaks Vintage Bus.

With tickets at £2.50 (under 10s go free) I know many a little one who would love to have a ride on a bus like this during a day out.

  1. Legoland, Windsor

A chance for young children to get in the driving seat themselves!

2. National Railway Museum, York

A fantasitic museum all about railways and now of course to see the exhibition of the world famous Flying Scotsman in all its new renovated glory. It’s a must see!

3. Transport Museum, Covent Garden, London

A fully interactive, showing the changes in modern day technology museum about transport in the heart of London. Buses, trains, underground and boats to name some of the pieces on show that can engage children for hours!

It costs £17 for an adult ticket, under 18s go free. This ticket lasts for 12 months.
