Half term is almost here! We can’t believe it, can you? We have scoured London to find some amazing activities that you may not have known were taking place.
Make spooky puppets at the Little Angel Theatre
“A chance to make your own puppet. Led by Little Angel Theatre’s professional puppet workshop leaders who will help you make your own spooky puppet. Participants will make their very own puppet and then perform with them at the end of the day!”
For children 5+, this is a drop off activity and you need to provide your little one with a packed lunch. Monday 26th or Friday 30th. The day runs from 10.30am to 4pm and costs £45.
Film making workshops by The Quick brown Fox
“This October half term your children could learn: how to properly record video [using both professional cameras and smartphones], how to make videos that appeal to the public and how to edit a movie at home with no need for professional equipment.”
For 8-12 year olds. These workshops take place at the Old School Club, Battersea. From Monday 26th – Wednesday 28th. £35 per session or £105 for three sessions.
Workshops at RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects)
This October half term RiBA have a wide range of workshops for children aged 6-18 from game design to animated architecture. Each session runs from 11am-4pm and costs £35 (£20 if eligible for free school lunches).
Adventure Golf at Jurassic Encounter
“Jurassic Encounter Mini Golf is beautifully landscaped and gives players the chance to putt past cascading waterfalls, over island greens, through prehistoric caves and even meet some Jurassic friends from the past!”
Open 9am-9pm (10am opening from Novemeber to April) seven days a week. £7 per child and £9 per adult Monday to Friday and £8 per child and £10 per adult on weekends.
Dry ice, lanterns and pumpkins at Fortnum and Mason
“Before the sun goes down, children will get to make something very scary indeed to take home with them.”
Pumpkin carving, ghost lanterns and slime making are just some of the activities happening at Fortnum and Mason between Tuesday 27th and Thursday 29th October. £20 per activity.
